This page is published now so the terms are on the record before any money is involved. If the application is approved, this notice is replaced by the disclosure Amazon requires and the links begin carrying a tracking tag. Nothing else on the shelf changes.
WHAT IT COSTS YOU
Nothing, and at the moment nothing reaches me either. The links are plain Amazon links. If the affiliate application is approved, the price you pay still will not change: Amazon would pay a commission out of its own margin rather than adding to your total.
If you would rather not send me the commission, that is fine. Search the title directly, or better, check your local library. The point is that you read the book.
WHAT I ACTUALLY EARN
Today, zero. No tag, no commission, no relationship.
If the application is approved, Amazon pays a percentage of the purchase price on qualifying orders. For books that rate is small, typically a few percent, which works out to cents on a paperback. It would offset what I spend building and hosting this site. It would not be an income stream, and I am telling you the size of it in advance so you can weigh my recommendation accurately.
THE STANDARD
Every book in the Library is one I have read or own. Nobody paid to appear there. No publisher, author, or vendor has ever bought a slot on this site, and if that ever changes I will label it on the page where it happens, not bury it here.
- I list books I have actually read or listened to. The list is pulled from my own library, not from a bestseller chart.
- A commission never moves a book up the list or onto it. The categories are organized by what the book does for a leader, not by what it pays.
- I link the book, not an edition I was told to push. Where a link resolves to a specific edition, that is a data match, not a paid placement.
- If I stop recommending something, it comes off the list. A dead recommendation earning a commission is a lie with a payout attached.
HOW TO SPOT THE LINKS
Right now there is nothing to spot. Every Amazon link on this site is a plain product link with no tracking tag attached. If that changes, affiliate links will carry a tag in the URL and be marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source, and this section will say so.
PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
Prices, availability, and formats on Amazon change constantly, and anything shown on this site can be out of date by the time you click. The price displayed on Amazon at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.
