What gets collected

Your email address, but only if you type it in. The newsletter box on the home page is the one place this site asks you for anything. If you subscribe, your email goes to Substack, which runs the Arise & Build newsletter. It is used to send the newsletter and nothing else. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.

Ordinary visit data. Like nearly every website, this one records that a visit happened: the pages loaded, roughly where in the world the request came from, what kind of browser and device, and which site referred you. That is used to understand which writing is worth continuing. It is not used to build a profile of you and it is not sold.

What does not get collected

The services this site runs on

A website is never just one company. These are the services involved, what each one handles, and why it is here. Each has its own privacy policy.

Nobody on that list is paid for your data, and none of them receive it for their own marketing.

How long it is kept

Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be deleted. Analytics are aggregate and are not tied to a name. Server logs age out on the host's ordinary schedule.

What you can ask for

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and you do not need to live anywhere particular to ask. Unsubscribing is the fastest route and needs no request at all.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request to see or delete your information, go to [email protected].

Requests are handled within 30 days.

Consulting and speaking clients

If you become a consulting or speaking client, the information you share in that work is governed by the agreement signed for that engagement, not by this page. This page covers the website only.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.

A note on scope

This page describes ldw.build. It is not legal advice and it does not cover 2819 Church, which is a separate organization with its own policies.
